WK records

Saha’s 10 is the best for India, surpassing 9 by Dhoni in his last Test at Melbourne in Dec 2014. Note that RW Taylor was the first to make 10 dismissals, which happened to be in a Test in India famous for Botham’s century plus 13 wickets as well as a total solar eclipse. Prior to that the record was 9 dismissals by Australia’s GRA Langley in 1956.

Best dismissal rates (minimum 20 innings, 0.500):

Dismissal rate

Boucher has the best rate here, with GC Smith having the best among pure fielders. The “hybrid” de Villiers has a better rate than him.

Overall all-round performances (see criteria below):

AR-overall

Here we have an unusual result with McMillan leading and Pollock in second place. Kallis does not seem to have done well as a bowler against India.

All-round match performances (Fifty-plus and fiver):

AR-match

No Kallis here either, though the less distinguished Boje is there.
